Part 2: Belief

On my word cloud, some ideas I wrote down for beliefs were belief systems that centered around our creation, our pupose, and the after life. My second NetArt piece explored these three major ideas. There are hidden clickable elements, inviting the viewer to look at things that are beyond this world.

This was built using a diagonal composition, allowing the viwers eyes to travel across the page. The 'start' is the translucent white circle. It is whole and undamaged. Then there is a gif of a running waterfall. Many belief systems subscribe to the idea that there is an energy or force in everything, and I thought running water would be a great way to visually tie that idea in. It also gives a sense of motion to the collage.

At the bottom is a gif of a raven on the tombstone in front of a translucent red square. It's an obvious sign for death, or the end. It is placed at the bottom right of the collage, where the viewer's journey ends.

I thought it was really interesting that out of everything, humans are very drawn to why we exist. Maybe it's because it's not something I think about too often, but it's so interesting to see different groups have such strong ideas on where we came from, why we're here, and where we're going.
